ATA Employment Solutions is accepting applications for a Loan Operations Specialist III for a well-established bank in Memphis, TN. The purpose of this position is to assist in all aspects of the loan operations department with primary functions being loan input. To be considered for this position, you must live in Memphis, TN, or the surrounding area. This is NOT a remote position. Successful passing of a pre-employment drug test, background check, and credit check will be a contingency of the job offer.

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $18-$21 based on experience
Schedule: M-F, 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8am-5pm

Loan Operations Specialist - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary Loan Processor for reviewing and working new loan packages, renewals, extensions, Letters of Credit; SBA loans etc.
• Review all Collateral and Credit documentation including Credit Cards for adherence to Credit Policy, legal and regulatory requirements noting any exceptions
• Prepare miscellaneous tickets for loan payments and new loan set-up as needed
• Process late charge and interest waivers
• Maintain daily log of loans booked
• Process all block (TMS) transactions
• Prepare File Maintenance entries
• Quote loan payoffs
• Other duties as assigned

Loan Operations Specialist - Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processing Doc Cover Sheets by updating, removing and adding Collateral and Credit exception items as required
• Pull and file back loan files
• Balance the Loan Log, Prepare VSI and Credit Life month-end reports
• Process payments including bankruptcy
• Process paid out loans
• Clerical functions involving among other things filing, answering telephone, securing and opening mail, operating fax machines, copiers, and printers

Loan Operations Specialist - Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of backroom/post-closing loan operations experience
• Extensive knowledge of legal & regulatory requirements
• 3-5 years of experience using LaserPro preferred but not required
• Retail banking experience preferred but not required
• Degree or certificate from college or technical school preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficient in typing & data entry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Customer-oriented
• Team player
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and credit check
