Our growing company is seeking to hire a Payroll Admin responsible for the processing of the Company’s payroll. Ensure accurate employee data related to new hires, promotions, transfers, termination and benefit administration and payroll deductions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform as point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefit administration
• The Payroll Admin is expected to proficiently demonstrate payroll processing ability in all US related payrolls, union and non-union.
• Calculate wages based on hours worked, overtime, exception time and prepare compensation deductions timely and accurately based on state timekeeping and overtime laws
• Review and reconcile payroll time submissions verifying entries from divisions. Scanning analytics, exception monitoring and account reconciliation.
• Participant at various stages of weekly payroll cycle with emphasis on proper segregation of duties, key reports, control compliance, and continuous process improvement
• Compute and process off-cycle checks for terminations or missed hours
• Process garnishment calculations and ensure state compliance
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of processing multi-state payroll
• Union payroll reporting experience highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards or similar payroll systems
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
• Construction industry preferred
