SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Provide specialty specific support to department providers, operations team and leadership related to coding, charge capture, documentation and regulatory requirements necessary for maintaining optimal business practices and results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required

Experience with data manipulation and analysis using software such as Excel is required

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Experience in specialty specific coding, preferably in an academic medical center setting preferred.

Experience in training situations ranging from 1:1 instruction to large groups of providers preferred.
