Job Summary

The Competition Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the leadership of the Competition Services team throughout a multitude of competitions, events, and activations throughout the year. This role partners with resort operations, resort marketing, and other internal stakeholders to safely lead the team through execution of dynamic events, activations, and competitions. This person will oversee a team of experienced and new members and will be responsible for training to resort and industry safety standards. This person will also oversee aspects of administrative duties in partnership with the Competition Services Manager. These include but are not limited to hiring, payroll, scheduling, and evaluations.

  • The budgeted range starts at $25-$28.48. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.


Job Responsibilities

  • Partnering with resort operations to plan and execute competitions, events, and activations on mountain.
  • Schedule, train, supervise and evaluate staff
  • Leads with company values and champions safety culture within the team
  • Ensure the safety and functionality of competition, race, and activation venues.
  • Supervise the daily operation of all Competition Venues including sales reports, inventory, and staff management.
  • Participate in event planning and execution with Breckenridge Marketing, Group Sales, and Corporate Sales Departments.
  • Assist marketing department with on mountain activations and events as well as photo shoots and brand shoots.
  • Work with our local race clubs and organizations maintain strong relationships and meet the daily race needs as they pertain to training or race events
  • Partners with Ski & Ride School for any competition services needs and events
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 3+ years Race crew experience
  • Prior experience working with USSA, USASA, FIS events
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
  • 3+ years of mountain operations experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Advanced Skier/Rider
  • Knowledge of race timing hardware and software
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Will be required to work extended hours outside in alpine mountain environment with variable weather conditions including snow, wind, cold and sun.
  • Will be required to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred:

  • College Degree
  • Experienced Equipment Operator
