AJG Transport is expanding our operations team to manage the increase in freight movement. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of operations support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results

AJG has 3 Teams that revolve the total 24 hour period,

Trucking Operations experience not required but preferred - Disciplined mentality required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and track all assets hourly
• Communicate with customers in regards to Estimated times of arrival or departure
• Speak to drivers throughout your shift in regards to their logistical plans and schedule
• Dispatching and Route Scheduling
• Tracking and Tracing Specialist
• Work cooperatively with your team in order to minimize all risk of trucks on the route during the nighshift
• Monitor issues inside of customer or over-the-road and handle them accordingly with the operations manager
• Find pockets of opportunity to increase revenue based on drivers scheduled
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies for drivers and trucks
• Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues
• Developing as a leader with confidence in your knowledge as you grow into the position

Skills

• Experience in an operations role.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Knowledge of OneDrive & Google Applications
• Working knowledge of a multi-screen computer
• Being a team player making learning the first priority
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in team effort projects where a common goal is found.
• Patience under pressure in a stressful environment
• Ability to work independently and stay on task throughout your shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Several Officer Personnel do work from home however during your training and for the foreseeable future all new candidates will be in the office
