Schedule:
March 1 2023 to November 30 2023 - Monday to Friday 11:30pm - 7:30am
December 1 2023 to February 28 2024 - Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Agriculture Utility Tractor Operator fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the organization may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
- The Tractor Operator, Grounds Maintenance maintains grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, airfields and athletic fields.
- Repairs structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: cut grass using batwing mowers (more than 2000 lbs.), trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells.
- The Tractor Operator fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
- Operate industrial grade tractors with batwing shredder attachment within the controlled movement area of an airfield.
- Uses hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools, prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools, sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
- Job duties also include the following: planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs, watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system, picks up and burns/carts away leaves, paper or other litter.
- Removes snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots, using shovel and snow blower, spreads salt on walkways and other areas.
- String trimmer and backpack blower.
- Pass and maintain any required security clearance requirement and comply with Drug Free Workplace policy.
- Adheres to Operations Security (OPSEC) standard operations procedures.
- Adheres to Property Control Plan for management of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
- Adheres to the safety and health program that complies with EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA, DOD, Armed Forces Branch(s), Federal, state, and local safety, environmental and health requirements.
- Maintain a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) in accordance with Appendix A, EM 385-1-1.
- Other tasks as may be directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor.

- Must be able to complete and maintain certification to operate a vehicle on the airfield.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
This position performs all manner of commercial grounds maintenance operations and directly reports to the Project Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job individuals will be siting for long periods of time while operating industrial grade tractors within a commercial grounds keeping and landscaping environment.

- Ability to regularly lift 25-50 pounds and on occasion up to 100 pounds.
- The work environment of this position may require the employee to work in extreme temperatures: wet, hot, cold or humid conditions (indoor and outdoor); near moving mechanical parts; in high precarious places; areas where fumes or airborne particles are present; with or around toxic or caustic chemicals; in areas where the risk of electrical shock is present; around explosives; areas where the risk of radiation is present and work which exposes the employee to vibration.
- The visual demands of this position require: clear vision of less than 20 inches to greater than 20 feet; ability to identify and distinguish colors; peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Exposure to noise levels ranging from very quiet to very loud.

Experience
Required- Tractor experience. Must be able to complete and maintain certification to operate a vehicle on the airfield.
